Tour of California - May 18 2010

This is the third year Lew and Diana have gone to watch the Tour of California bike race. This race attracts the best riders and teams in the world. This year, we stationed ourselves at a beach on Highway 1 to wait for the peloton, armed with food, drink, and books. Our favorite sight while waiting was when the Highway Patrol blocked off the highway at our beach, forcing people to either turn into the parking lot or turn back. A Bentley convertible arrived, the driver incensed that he was not allowed to go around the blockade. The Highway Patrol officer was not amused, but we were!
